My teaching career started in East Grand Forks in the fall of 1995. I began as a fifth grade teacher at Sacred Heart. In 2001, I was hired as the Kindergarten Title I teacher at South Point. When the District split to K-2 and 3-5 buildings, I started teaching Kindergarten at New Heights Elementary for seven years. This will be my first year teaching third grade at South Point.
My husband, Robert, is a heavy machinery operator for Zavorals & Sons here in East Grand Forks. We have three sons. Anthony who is eight - third grade, Daniel who is six - first grade, and Zachary who is two and a half. I can't forget to mention our two dogs, Dallas and Bear.
My family moved out to the country this summer and as far as hobbies go, being outside is my favorite. I enjoy going for walks, gardending, mowing, flying kites, roasting marshmallows, and just spending time with my family.
I'm excited about teaching third grade and especially anxious to meet all of my new students and their families.
